SOCIAL SECURITY ANALYST (WAE CST)

We are seeking to fill a position of Consultant - Social Security Analyst based in the Social Security Branch (HRMOS) at our Headquarters in Rome, Italy.

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

The position is based in HRMOS Social Security Branch. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of the Head of the Social Security Branch.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT

To deliver professional, client-focused Social Security services, partnering with managers implementing HR solutions in line with WFP corporate priorities.

Under the supervision of the Head, HRMOS the incumbent will deliver a range of tasks, to ensure proper systems are in place for social security benefits management, monitoring and data analysis. Expected innovative approach and solutions-oriented mindset with a strong partnership and customer-oriented skills. The Consultant will operate with minimal supervision and ensure timely implementation of systems governing social security benefits management.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Create and conduct Surveys for COs to identify the country specific needs and critical areas in terms of social security benefits management, analyze the results
  2. Create a benchmark throughout the UN and the private sector on the reasonable accommodation best practices
  3. Create a benchmark throughout the UN to help Advisory Committee on Compensation Claims (ACCC) have reference on compensation plan best practices
  4. Prepare detailed statistics, graphs, social security benefits management tracking systems
  5. Create guidelines on how and which forms to fill in various situations
  6. Create info sheets, reference material and Q&As in French and/or Spanish
  7. Contribute to the HCM testing and identification of any integrations/specific databases that could be used to streamline the social security benefits management

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Education:

Advanced university degree in Human Resources Management, Public or Business Administration or another relevant field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience or training/courses

Experience:

Desirable Requirements:

Professional experience synthesizing insights from data using tolls such as: Python/R, SQL/Tableau/Power BI.

Experience manipulating large data sets, interpreting data trends and using a multitude of disparate data sources and tools.

Experience in the implementation of projects for the value-driven use of data and anchoring it in processes from a conceptual and technical perspective.

Knowledge of Cority, UNJSPF systems, WINGS would be an asset.

Knowledge & Skills:

Knowledge of HR best practices, techniques and processes

Strong analytical ability to compile, maintain and analyze data, prepare reports and draw initial conclusions in support of work carried out by another officer, skills in developing sources for data collection and basic programming

Good communication and partnership skills

Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly assimilate UN/WFP specific processes and systems

Ability to review and manage confidential data

Languages:

Fluency (level C) in English language and level C of a second official UN language preferably French or Spanish.
