Job Summary

The Human Resources Officer, Diversity & Inclusion Office, HRDAI working under the supervision of Advisor, D&I is responsible for promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) across the talent lifecycle, liaising with stakeholders throughout the Fund to mitigate potential discriminatory or inequitable practices and leverages insights to design and deliver targeted DEI initiatives.

You will work under the direction of the Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Advisor and with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders that include Fund Management, department managers, HRD staff, the Staff Association Committee (SAC), external advisory groups and consultants, and other international institutions.

You will assist with and contribute to leading the efforts of the D&I Office (DIO) to ensure that DEI efforts are sponsored by leadership and executed consistently across the Fund to help improve the overall business performance, leading to better serving the Fund’s membership and upholding our international reputation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Propose program concepts related to diversity and inclusion, collaborating with Fund leadership to identify pressing gaps and integrating perspectives from multiple stakeholder groups. Prepare and monitor project timelines and resourcing to promote effectiveness
  • Research external market trends related to DEI, synthesizing findings to drive innovation and enhance DEI efforts across multiple activities.
  • Collaborate with the People Analytics team to ensure regular and ad hoc reporting requirements are met (e.g., regular updating of progress towards benchmarks, MD’s Gender Card, requests from ED offices, pay equity analyses, etc.) and aggregate key D&I statistics related to departmental initiatives, synthesizing information to improve program effectiveness.
  • Partner with Talent Division to align DEI training and embed DEI learning into critical development programs; and to ensure recruitment policies and practices align with the D&I objectives of the Fund.
  • Contribute to the greater inclusion of diverse employees, perspectives and practices that improve core business outcomes through the development and/or improvement of the Fund-wide diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy, policies and practices.
  • Collaborate, build trusting relationships, and provide tools and resources across departments, the Diversity & Inclusion Council, Diversity Reference Groups, Employee Resource Groups, and other key stakeholders.
  • Develop, source, and circulate creative and interactive DEI content that invites Fund-wide dialogue and continuous learning via a variety of delivery media including improving/designing meeting modules, webcasts, panel and roundtable discussions, the existing web presence, communications and collaborative virtual tools such as MS Teams, blogs, share point/e-rooms, etc.).
  • Influence and appropriately challenge the status quo at all levels when needed and on key DEI barriers and obstacles while working towards mutually beneficial solutions aimed at improving the core business and reputation of the Fund internationally.
  • Contribute to formal and informal DEI Reports and Updates, including drafting and editing sections, preparing presentations and other relevant materials (e.g., speaking notes, briefing notes, etc.).
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A master’s degree, or equivalent, in Human Resources or related field, plus a minimum of four 4 years of relevant work experience, OR bachelor’s degree plus ten 10 years of relevant work experience.

In addition to the above and qualifications outlined in the job standards, the requirements listed below are critical to the position.

  • Experience in a broad range of HR areas, e.g., staffing, training and development, and compensation and benefits; able to leverage cross-functional expertise in contributing to the shaping of coherent HR strategies, policies, and programs to ensure DEI considerations are incorporated.
  • Broad experience in DEI and able to influence the strategic direction and approach of the area.
  • Drive to be a change agent in DEI with transferrable experience of effecting change across divergent groups in current or previous role.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and able to contribute to the establishment of analytical standards for the team.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, including proven ability to present complex concepts and analysis in a clear manner.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative; use sound judgment and discretion when working with sensitive or confidential data and information.
  • Model inclusion and respect in all aspects of demonstrated behaviors and spend more energy continuously seeking to understand others’ perspectives rather than seeking to be understood.

This vacancy shall be filled by a 3-year Term appointment in accordance with the Fund’s new employment rules that took effect on May 1, 2015.

If the selected candidate is a contractual employee, they will be offered a Term staff appointment.
