MDF is a leading community group in PNG who for the last 15 years have been active in community development projects suppofrting rural communities in the country This task falls in line with MDF objective which is to adress environment degradtion and cliamte change issues in Papua New Guinea and the Pacific. The assignment falls in line with PNG Government Medium Term Plan and the UN Vission on climate chane.

MDF requires the service volunteers who can help in puting in information, review and draft and project report for a project carried out by the Foundation which is the mapping of mangrove along a coastline in Port Moresby. Mapping was carrie dusing remote sensing and drones. GPS and other transects surveys were also carried out as well as WaSH surveys targeting communities at the project site.

Must be a good report writer and can work towards a deadline. Must have Masters in Community Development or any related Field Must be able to work towards a deadline Must be good in GIS and Remote Sensing Remote sensing and GIS students are recommended to apply.
