Contract

This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.

Children are the least responsible for climate change, yet they will bear the greatest burden of its impact. The worsening effects of climate change mean that children face both the immediate impacts of climate-exacerbated humanitarian emergencies and the slower-onset impacts such as water scarcity and disease burden. UNICEF Office of Innovation supports the global scale-up of climate innovations to improve the lives and futures of children. UNICEF Climate Change Global Innovation Portfolio addresses key global challenges where innovation can play a key role to accelerate results for children: i) meaningful engagement of young people in climate, energy, and environmental policy development; ii) assessing demand and shaping the market for sustainability services; iii) integrating climate resilience and DRR with emergency response resources; iv) protecting children’s lives, rights, and futures with environmental sustainability and disaster risk reduction and mitigation.

We are looking for two volunteers specialising in Digital Design to support UNICEF Office of Innovation. In particular, we are looking for volunteers to develop a graphic layout for a 15-page report on climate innovations for children and young people and for a summary power point deck. UNICEF Office of Innovation will provide brand template, colours, fonts, style, images to be used in both the report and power point deck.

Candidates should have graphic design skills or background, with previous experience in layout, have knowledge of graphic design applications. A degree in graphic design or any related field is considered an asset.
