Job Description

SCOPE OF WORK: Based in Yangon, with periodic travel to field offices as needed, this position will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day grants and information management and providing support to the Grants Manager. This includes supporting administrative coordination, monitoring key milestones in the award process, report review, coordination and managing risk across all elements of the award process.

Reporting to the Grants Manager, this position will work closely with relevant Programs, Partnerships, Grants, Finance, and other operations staff on award management.

Grant Administration and Project Cycle Management Assistance

- Support administration functions regarding award management through the proposal, implementation and grant closure phases - Review written English language documents including reports, agreement, and modifications, ensuring compliance with IRC and donor regulations - Support meeting coordination, minute taking and follow-up on action points - Support Grants Manager on grant amendments including narrative and budget revisions and extension requests

Information Management and Reporting

- Maintain and update electronic filing, ensuring all key donor correspondence and approvals are filed - Support Grants Manager, as needed, on coordinating, reviewing, and preparing narrative and financial reports - Respond to requests for program information from Grants team colleagues, SMT, IRC Regional and HQ offices, donors, and others as needed

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree - Professional fluency in English and comfortable in a heavily English-speaking working environment - One to three years’ experience (including internships) with international organizations preferred - Ability to work well under programmatic pressures - Open mind set and enthusiasm for challenges and learning - Attention to detail - Comfortable within an intercultural working environment - Ability to travel to the project locations - Ability to coordinate across departments and locations to deliver results - Excellent computer skills, particularly in Word and Excel - Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements.

Myanmar nationals with relevant skills sets and proven experience of working at international level are strongly encouraged.
