NRC is looking for a Grants Coordinator to join the Myanmar mission. The role holder will be a country-level Program Unit member and will be responsible for ensuring quality and timely grants and partnerships processes.

What You Will Do

  • Support to Field Teams. Provide technical support and guidance to NRC Myanmar/partner field teams throughout the project-cycle. Build positive working relationships across all CO and AO teams. As delegated by the Grants Manager, support the continuous improvement of NRC Myanmar’s Project Cycle Management (PCM) tools, systems and capacity building, based on lessons learnt and feedback.
  • Donor Rules & Regulations. Support NRC Myanmar/partner compliance with donor rules and regulations through technical support, training and capacity building to other NRC Myanmar and partner team members on donor compliance issues. Work with other departments to ensure relevant grant documentation required is ready and available for audits.
  • Risk Management. Support NRC Myanmar’s due diligence processes relating to grant agreements and partnerships, in collaboration with the Programme Unit (PU) and Risk & Compliance team. This includes the review of donor contracts or equivalent, and coordinating with other relevant NRC Myanmar departments.
  • Remote Management. In collaboration with the PU, support the successful development and implementation of remote management systems and tools. This includes, but is not limited to supporting quality information-flow, monitoring and oversight processes.
  • Partnerships. Contributing to strengthening our collaboration with other actors through building and strengthening networks, cooperation and implementing partnerships. Support application of NRC’s partnership and localization strategy and systems across all offices and Core Competencies (CCs). As delegated by the Grants Manager, support the continuous improvement of NRC Myanmar’s partnership tools, systems and capacity building, based on Lessons Learnt and feedback.
  • Consortia. As delegated by the Grants Manager and/or Head of Programmes, provide technical guidance to the NRC-hosted First Line Emergency Response (FLER) mechanism. This includes engaging in the development and strengthening of consortium governance structures.

What You Will Bring

  • Between 2-3 years of relevant experience within field of expertise
  • Relevant experience of grant and/or partner management in the humanitarian sector
  • Experience from working with humanitarian and development donors
  • Good understanding of donor rules and regulations
  • Skills and experience in project cycle management, report and proposal development writing
  • Strong communication, coordination and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills (data and financial)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

What We Offer

  • Yangon, Myanmar duty station, subject to receiving appropriate documentation. The successful candidate will be expected to work from home/remotely for extended periods of time.
  • 12-month contract duration.
  • 20% travel, approximately.
  • Grade 7 in NRC’s Salary Scale. NRC offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
