Morobe Development Foundation Inc. is a not-for-profit organization based in Papua New Guinea and was established to promote sustainable community development initiatives and thereby address several exigent issues – ranging from environmental conservation to women's rights – that are hindering the progress of the country. Few of our ongoing projects focus on applications of various state-of-the-art technologies (such as remote sensing and machine learning) for monitoring forest biomass, tracking land use, land change patterns, evaluate climate change impacts, and conserve sea turtle habitats.
To continue MDF's mission in carrying the abovementioned projects, MDF requires support in grant writing where the grants will allow MDF to expand its partnership and scientific outreach activities (e.g., publications); and extensively to reach out to more potential donors based in the US.
To that end, we are currently looking for 4 Online Volunteers with experience in grant/report/article writing, who can help us in grant writing related to the field of Environmental Science, Forestry, Climate Change, Remote Sensing, Ecology, Social science, or any related fields. The Online Volunteers are expected to dedicate approximately 16-20 hours per week to carry this assignment.
