Global Welfare Association (GLOWA) is a Cameroon-based nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing child trafficking, supporting survivors of exploitation and torture, and promoting access to education and sustainable livelihoods for vulnerable and conflict-affected populations. As GLOWA expands its programs and partnerships, it increasingly engages with international foundations and institutional donors to secure funding for survivor-centered rehabilitation, education access, livelihood support, and advocacy initiatives. To remain competitive in the global funding landscape, GLOWA must ensure that its project proposals meet high standards of clarity, coherence, structure, and professionalism. While GLOWA develops strong program concepts and technical content internally, there is a need for expert editorial support to strengthen language quality, logical flow, alignment with donor expectations, and overall persuasiveness. The Grant Proposal Editor will contribute to building GLOWA’s institutional capacity by improving the quality of its funding proposals and supporting the development of standardized, high-quality proposal language for future submissions. This assignment directly supports the sustainability and growth of programs serving vulnerable children and survivors in Cameroon by strengthening the organization’s ability to secure funding and expand impact.
Global Welfare Association (GLOWA) seeks an experienced online volunteer to support the editing and strengthening of its grant proposals for submittion to international foundations and institutional donors. The purpose of this assignment is to improve the clarity, coherence, structure, and overall persuasiveness of our project proposals, thereby enhancing the our competitiveness and fundraising capacity. The Grant Proposal Editor will: (1) Review draft project proposals for clarity, logical flow, and consistency (2) Edit grammar, language, and tone to ensure professional, donor-ready standards (3) Strengthen alignment between problem statements, objectives, activities, outcomes, and budgets (4) Improve executive summaries and impact narratives to make them clear and compelling (5) Ensure proposals are concise, structured and results-oriented (6) Suggest improvements to enhance coherence with donor guidelines (7) Help refine standard proposal language templates for future use The volunteer will work closely with the Executive Director and our resource mobilization goval point to ensure that all proposals maintain a survivor-centered, rights-based and ethically responsible approach in describing vulnerable populations. By the end of the assignment, GLOWA’s proposals will demonstrate improved structure, clarity, and strategic positioning for international funding opportunities
