Istanbul International Centre for Private Sector in Development’s SDG AI Lab initiative requires assistance to annotate illegal dumpsite data located in Guatemala. Our partners will be leading the decision-making process and set goals and targets to the team of volunteers to achieve the required outputs. The Lab provides in-house expertise, resources, and research support to various UNDP projects to mainstream digital transformation to development problems and to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The online volunteers will assist SDG AI LAB in data annotation for illegal dumpsites. The online volunteers are expected to annotate and validate up to several hundred locations of illegal dumpsites in Guatemala. This will be done using QGIS and freely available google maps base layers.
Bachelor’s (or higher) in Computer Science, Environmental Engineering, Geomatics, Geography, Statistics, or related field with strong interest in Remote Sensing and satellite image interpretation; Experience in working with geodata.
