You have:
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in GIS and GEE Coding.
- PhD in GIS or majoring in GIS.

MDF is a leading community group in Papua New Guinea that for the last 15 years has been involved in carrying out projects addressing the needs of the rural population in Morobe and the rest of the Province in the country.
MDF needs the support of three Online Volunteers who can help to develop GIS GEE coding to help assess the depletion of the shoreline at Lababia Village in Huon District of Morobe Province.
The shoreline of different years will be assessed and compared to see if there is depletion in the shorelines in Lababia Village which is a vital nesting site for the endangered leatherback turtle which comes up every year to lay eggs.
To that end, the Online Volunteers support through this assignment will greatly support MDF to achieve its project objective which is to support community projects in the rural community as well as to address climate change and environment impact on the ecosystem. This collaboration with Online Volunteers will also support MDF to contribute in addressing SDG challenges in PNG.
MDF urgently requires the support of at least three Online Volunteers to conduct remote sensing to assess shoreline depletion in Lababia Village located in Huon Guld District of Morobe Province.
The Online Volunteers will communicate directly with the contact person for MDF who will provide further details of the assignment. Volunteer one and two will collaborate to come up with the GEE coding while volunteer three will review and test the GEE coding and will also assist in conducting the shoreline analysis.
The volunteers will be issued a reference by MDF and will be certified through the United Nations after the completion of the task.
GIS experts who have knowledge and experience in GEE coding are encouraged to apply.
GIS and Remote Sensing. Mapping using Google Earth, and ArcGIS to name a few. Have more than 5 years of work experience, including in CEE Coding. Must have a PhD in GIS. PhD Students majoring in GIS are encouraged to apply.
