You have:

• A first-level university degree/diploma in computers is required.
• Minimum ten years of experience in ICT domain is required.
• At least three years experience in MEAN stack software development is required.
• Good command in English is required.
• Knowledge and hand-on skills of Angular, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, Express, Node.js, MongoDB, Socket.IO, PHP, MySQL, CodeIgniter, and VB are required.

Expected duration Initial Contract is from 21 February -31 May 2022 (3.5 months) with a possibility of extension.

Duties and Responsibilities The UN’s Office of Information and Communications Technology (OICT) is responsible for defining the strategic direction for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to the UN Secretariat. It provides oversight of ICT programmes, budgets and decision-making to ensure alignment with the Secretariat’s overall ICT strategy. The Strategic Solutions unit at India is supporting various ICT development initiatives for its HQ at Vienna, Austria. In this unit we are looking for Full Stack Web Developer - MEAN Stack who is motivated to comprehend, conceptualize, and produce effective software solutions. Within delegated authority, and in close cooperation with the Software Production Coordinator, the Full Stack Web Developer - MEAN Stack will be responsible for the Duties and Responsibilities mentioned below. o Provide expertise in developing front end website architecture. o Advise and provide expertise in designing user interactions on web pages. o Developing back-end website applications. o Creating servers and databases for functionality. o Ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile phones. o Ensuring responsiveness of applications. o Working alongside graphic designers for web design and advise on new features o Seeing through a project from conception to finished product. o Designing and developing APIs. o Meeting both technical and consumer needs. o Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages. o Ensure tight management of milestones and progress of ongoing software development projects. o Ensures data security and integrity. o Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/special skills Skills: The knowledge and hand-on skills of Angular, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS and Express, Nodejs, Mongo DB, Socket.Io, PHP, MySQL, CodeIgniter and VB Academic Qualifications: A first-level university degree/diploma in computers is required. Experience: Minimum ten year of experience in ICT domain and at least three years’ experience in MEAN stack software development is required. Certification in MEAN stack development would be an added advantage. Language: Good command in English is required.
