Position Overview

The Premises Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the tangible investment budget and infrastructure of the organization, ensuring effective coordination and oversight of various initiatives related to premises management.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Monitor actual expenses vs budget and track projects with various budget owners.
  • Ensure close financial monitoring of major investment projects.
  • Participate in annual budget exercise for investment projects and monitor entries in Anaplan platform.
  • Develop and utilize KPIs for enhanced financial management and monitoring.
  • Monitor HQ and field depreciation from capitalized assets.
  • Prepare presentations and review documents for infrastructure board meetings.
  • Participate in annual closing exercise by managing capital commitments, asset capitalization, impairment loss testing, and auditors' inquiries.
  • Participate in financial statements reporting by providing an overview of investment activities during the year and report on invested amounts.
  • Prepare internal memos on investment policy updates.
  • Act as a reference point for tangible investments, provide guidance and answers on various queries related to accounting, capitalization, depreciation, etc.
  • Assume the role of Subject Matter Expert for all field premises tasks, with a focus on refining Standard Operating Procedures, tools, and policies for optimal performance.
  • Collaborate on initiatives including reporting, new reference documentation, and participation in working groups

Selection Requirements

  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Experience with premises management
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and ERP systems (Peoplesoft, JD Edwards)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Advanced strategic thinking skills and highly autonomous
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing controls
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
