Translation and interpretation
The Equator Initiative works with partners to identify, document, and analyze the success factors of local best practice, and to catalyze ongoing peer-to-peer learning, knowledge exchange and replication of best practice. The Equator Initiative accomplishes this through three action areas. the Equator Prize, the Equator Dialogues and Equator Knowledge. which is a research, documentation, and learning program. The case studies are part of Equator Knowledge. The New York Declaration on Forests is a global agreement to halve forest loss by 2020 and end it by 2030. The NYDF Global Platform is hosted by the Global Programme on Nature for Development at UNDP, in collaboration with Meridian Institute, Climate Focus and Climate Advisers. To achieve this objective it engages in mainstreaming of biodiversity conservation, market transformation, and capacity development activities. The translation of these materials helps us conduct more effective multi-stakeholder dialogues to accelerate forest action.
