This assignment would involve remote translation of English to Portuguese (Portugal) We are coordinating the localization of a smartphone app developed by the UN World Food Programme called “ShareTheMeal” (https://sharethemeal.org/) from English into Portuguese. This assignment is fully remote, and involves assisting with translations 1-5 hours per week.

We are coordinating the localisation of a smartphone app developed by the UN World Food Programme called “ShareTheMeal” (https://sharethemeal.org/) into Portuguese (Portugal). ShareTheMeal is an app from the World Food Programme that enables people to "share their meals" with children in need. Because most texts are short, translations can mostly be entered into e-mail, Word docs or Excel sheets. We are looking to partner with someone who would be willing to work with us for 12 weeks. Each translation sheet goes out on Friday, and we would need it back by Monday. Therefore, this task requires weekend contribution. Each translation need varies in length but usually averages around 700-1000 words. We have additionally transitioned to a dual system using Crowd-in for adding translations. Therefore, experience with Crowd-in is a plus. We are greatly excited about our achievements and future campaigns in which we attempt to fight child hunger all over the world. Shortlisted candidates may be asked to translate a short paragraph as part of the selection process.
