The Global Child Protection Area of Responsibility is looking for an Online Volunteer to translate one document from English to French. The document that needs to be translated is a workshop presentation on education and child protection. There is only one document with 29 pages in PPT format. The translation would need to be completed by the end of August. The Online Volunteer will be able to strengthen their knowledge on child protection and education during the process of translation. The work of the Online Volunteer is highly valuable and will allow to make the presentation available in additional languages.

    Child Protection is an Area of Responsibility (AoR) within the Global Protection Cluster. The Global CP AoR aims at ensuring that the efforts of national and international humanitarian actors to protect children are well coordinated, achieving maximum quality and impact. The Global CP AoR is seeking the support of one Online Volunteer to make the workshop presentation available in French. The Online Volunteer's work will thus be highly valuable.

  • Volunteers: 1 needed

  • 11-20 hours per week / 2 weeks

    Candidates should be fluent in English and French. A background in translation, child protection, education or humanitarian action is an advantage. Previous translation experience of translating from English to French (especially documents related to education, child protection or humanitarian action) is an asset. The volunteer needs to be able to work under tight deadlines. Applicants may be asked to translate a text as part of the selection process.
