This assignment would involve remote translation of English to Arabic. We are coordinating the localization of a smartphone app developed by the UN World Food Programme called “ShareTheMeal” (https://sharethemeal.org/) from English into Arabic. This assignment is fully remote, and involves assisting with translations 1-5 hours per week.

We are coordinating the localisation of a smartphone app developed by the UN World Food Programme called “ShareTheMeal” (https://sharethemeal.org/) into Arabic. ShareTheMeal is an app from the World Food Programme that enables people to "share their meals" with children in need. Because most texts are short, translations can mostly be entered into e-mail, Word docs or Excel sheets. Additionally, we utilize a translation management platform called Crowdin where glossaries, suggestions, and memories aid in the translation process. We are looking to partner with someone who would be willing to work with us for 12 weeks. Each translation assignment goes out on Friday, and we would need it back by Monday. Therefore, this task requires weekend contribution. Each translation task varies in length, but averages under 1000 words. Naturally, we are happy to answer any questions you may have about an item for translation. We are greatly excited about our achievements and future campaigns in which we attempt to fight child hunger all over the world. Shortlisted candidates may be asked to translate a short paragraph as part of the selection process.
