ABOUT LEARNING PASSPORT PLATFORM

LEARNING PASSPORT is an online, mobile, and offline educational platform that enables continuous access to digital educational resources, deployed in 33 countries around the globe. The program has supported a total of 4.6 million learners of all types – including students, teachers, and young people – with learning and development across areas such as early childhood development, foundational literacy and numeracy, life skills, and professional development.

Learning Passport in Poland is implemented by the UNICEF Refugee Response Office in Poland in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Implementing Partners since July 2023. Learning Passport provides high-quality educational resources for teachers and students that foster resilience, cross-cultural communication, and inclusive education, and help refugee children from Ukraine integrate into learning environments.

How can you make a difference?

The UNICEF Refugee Response Office in Poland seeks a Digital Learning Consultant who will be working in close cooperation with the Education Specialist (digital learning) and will be responsible for Learning Passport e-learning platform coordination in Poland. He/she will work in close collaboration with UNICEF country/regional/HQ teams, technical teams, and partner organizations. This is an individual consultancy contract to work full-time for the next 12 months.

SCOPE OF WORK:

• Support coordination of the Learning Passport e-learning platform, in close cooperation with the Education Specialist
• Develop and publish engaging digital educational resources (courses, modules, webinars) on the Learning Passport platform, in close coordination with Implementing Partners.
• Monitor of digital learning projects’ users
• Support creation of feedback and evaluation online tools
• Support online outreach campaigns.
• Support the Education section in ad-hoc administrative and operational tasks

TASKS/MILESTONES:

• Content is properly displayed on the platform.
• All platform features work properly.
• Users’ feedback is incorporated.
• Documentation of the program is created and placed on UNICEF SharePoint.
• All technical problems are resolved in cooperation with the HQ/RO technical team.
• New digital content (courses, modules, and resources) is created.
• New features are incorporated into the platform
• The structure of new resources is created and tested.
• Certificates of competition are designed and implemented.
• Sign-up forms are created and customized.
• Regular updates on the traffic and users are provided.
• Weekly and monthly analytical reports are prepared based on the statistical information collected from the platform.
• New methods and methodologies of user monitoring are established.
• Odznaka + (MoE) certification is implemented.
• Feedback forms for different courses and modules are created and implemented.
• Reports from feedback are prepared.
• Evaluation tools are developed and implemented.
• Evaluation reports are prepared and presented to the team.
• Presentations, briefs, and other materials to showcase the Learning Passport resources are prepared and consulted.
• Presentations, briefs, and other materials to showcase the Akelius program are designed and produced.
• Regular information about Learning Passport resources and Akelius program is sent to municipalities and educational institutions.
• Regular webinars about digital learning programs are organized (at least 12)
• Provide support to the Education team in organizing conferences, meetings and other tasks that may arise in 2024/2025
• Support in development of donor proposal and reports

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

• At least 5 years of experience in project management/coordination, including IT projects, preferably related to e-learning.
• Previous experience in digital platform administration and knowledge of e-learning/ecourses creation platforms (such as Easy Generator, TalentLMS, iSpring Suite, or others).
• Fluent in Polish and English. Excellent language skills in both oral and written.
• Knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian will be an asset.
• Previous experience with UNICEF or UN organization will be an asset.

Individuals engaged under a consultancy or individual contract will not be considered “staff members” under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures, and will not be entitled to benefits provided therein (such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage). Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.

The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. Selected candidates are subject to confirmation of fully-vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a World Health Organization (WHO)-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the assignment. It does not apply to consultants who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their consultancy contracts.
