About the job

DRC Libya – Tripolitania Area – EcRc Programme is excited to recruit EcRc Manager to lead and implement EcRc projects to respond to the affected population and in line with DRC policy.

. Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Provide overall leadership, management and technical direction of the economic recovery programme, in coordination with and as agreed technically with the Head of Progremme and the Area Manager.
  • Assist in the identification of strong local partners and potential programme synergies to develop for future opportunities.
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise the launch of assessments, key informant interviews, and focus group discussions on market-based livelihoods/economic recovery activities.
  • Develop DRC's Economic Recovery programme monitoring and implementation tools/ guidance docs such as SOPs, tools and forms aligned with standards and monitoring framework.
  • Plan and implement economic recovery activities includes multipurpose cash assistance, cash-for-work activities, market assessments, gender analysis, soft and vocational skills trainings, business management trainings, design of business plans and provision of grants for small businesses or self-employment, ongoing business mentoring, linkages with relevant market actors including financial service providers.
  • Provide periodic reports to the Area Manager, including accurate figures of distributions/referrals done and challenges encountered, in the agreed format.

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to 1) have an expertise in EcRc programming 2) strong interpersonal and communication skills, 3) understanding of humanitarian principles, 4) Solid technical experience in implementing market-based income generation promotion, 5) Demonstrate ability in thinking creatively and practically to improve the quality of programming and achieve greater impact

. Moreover, we also expect the following:

Required

  • University Degree or higher education in the field of Business Administration, social sciences, Economics, political sciences, development or any other related field
  • Prior experience in managing/capacity strengthening staff and leading teams.
  • Ability to work flexibly in a diverse team with strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain good communication channels with relevant stakeholders.
  • Solid experience in project management including project monitoring, reporting, data management and budgeting.
  • Solid technical experience in implementing market-based income generation promotion (waged and self-employed).

Desirable

  • Programming experience in displacement contexts, including in protracted situations and fragile context is an asset/preferred.
  • Previous experience with INGOs

We offer

Contract length: 6 months with the possibility of extension based on performance and fund availability.
