Result of Service The ultimate result will the delivery of the ECA work programme 2022 and CAP business plan 2022, which includes the arrangement of ECA meetings, small group meetings and ad-hoc meetings with English - Russian interpretation to facilitate the participation of Russian-speaking country representatives, and the availability of ad-hoc translations / layout into Russian including meeting documents, presentations, WOD and WRD materials, factsheets, and other Montreal Protocol related information materials.

Duties and Responsibilities OzonAction’s Compliance Assistance Programme (CAP) operating under the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in the Europe and Central Asia (ECA) region is providing policy and technical support to the ECA network countries to help them complying with the provisions of the Montreal Protocol for the phase out of ozone depleting substances (ODS) and phase-down of global warming hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs).

ECA network requires support to arrange virtual meetings with English - Russian simultaneous interpretation and to provide ad-hoc translations into Russian including meeting documents, presentations, WOD and WRD materials, factsheets, and other Montreal Protocol related information materials.

Under the supervision of the coordinator of the ECA network, the consultant will set up virtual meetings with simultaneous interpretation English – Russian including monthly ECA meetings, small group meetings and ad-hoc meetings, as required, and provide ad-hoc translations / layout into Russian including meeting documents, presentations, WOD and WRD materials, factsheets, and other Montreal Protocol related materials etc.

The consultant will work from distance and provide the necessary information technology and communication tools. No travel required.

Qualifications/special skills Skills: Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Internet) Academic Qualifications: Accredited interpreter / translator English - Russian Experience: 1. At least 5 years of working experience with interpretation - translation English - Russian 2. Familiarity with Montreal Protocol terminology 3. Experience in the development of outreach materials including translation, layout, editing, review and proofreading Language: Fully proficient in English and Russian
