Long Description ---------------- The incumbent will, in particular: - Provide reliable and safe driving services by: driving office vehicles for the transport of UNESCO personnel and visitors; delivering and collecting mail, documents and other items; meeting official personnel and visitors at the airport. - Ensure cost-effectiveness in the use of vehicles through maintenance of daily logs of all journeys recording date, mileage, passengers, odometer readings, fuel consumption and provision of inputs to preparation of the vehicle maintenance plans and reports. - Ensure proper day-to-day maintenance of vehicles through timely minor repairs, timely changes of oil, check of tires, brakes, car washing, etc. Inform supervisor for regular maintenance and repairs needs. - Ensure availability of all the required documents/supplies including vehicle insurance, vehicle registration, map of the city/country, first aid kit, and necessary spare parts in the assigned vehicle. - Ensure that all immediate actions required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accidents.
