MDF is a leading community group in Papua New Guinea. For the last 15 years, it has been involved in community development projects supporting illiterate and vulnerable communities to access safe and clean water, as well as health and other services to improve their standard of living.
Volunteers will contribute to MDF’s mission by helping to complete the project’s action reports on time. These reports will cover the completed actions from December 2023 to March 2024 for conservation projects supported by the Pacific Development Conservation Trust Fund. By summarizing the invaluable work carried out by the MDF initiative during this period, these reports directly benefit the advancement of the SDGs.
The reports highlight the important role of initiatives like MDF that work towards improving living standards in vulnerable communities and promoting environmental conservation. They also serve as a model of effective action in promoting the SDGs and can help in assessing future development approaches for MDF projects.
This task aligns with MDF’s vision of aiding poor communities in rural areas and promoting the UN SDGs, particularly the goal of improving living conditions for poor communities in the developing world.
MDF requires the service of three Online Volunteers who will help in constructing a project report that covers three projects completed by MDF PNG during the period of December 2023-March 2024.
The task includes completing one report covering the MDF projects carried out by the initiative during the aforementioned period. The projects carried out by MDF during this period were related to environmental conservation and climate change. The focal contact person for MDF PNG will provide all aspects and details of the project report.
The task division is as follows:
- Online Volunteer One: Draft the report proposal.
- Online Volunteer Two: Review the report proposal.
- Online Volunteer Three: Proofread the report and submit it to the focal contact person for MDF.
Upon successful completion of the task, Online Volunteers will be issued a reference from MDF PNG as well as a certification through the UVP.
Volunteers must have effective writing skills and have experience in the fields of education, social science or any related field in environment, conservation and climate change.
Volunteers must be willing to work diligently as scheduled on the UNV portal to meet the deadline.
PhD students are encouraged to apply.
