Overview

Develop and deliver comprehensive English language training for students.

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in linguistics and/or English language teaching.
  • Strong knowledge of language acquisition theories, teaching methodologies, and assessment practices.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and resources for language instruction.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on teamwork and student success.
  • Experience in a technical or vocational context is preferable.

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities A. Curriculum Development 1. Program Design: Develop and maintain a comprehensive English language curriculum that aligns with the needs of students in the Digital Hub. Ensure the curriculum covers essential language skills, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing, with a focus on both academic and professional contexts. 2. Resource Creation: Create engaging educational materials, including lesson plans, worksheets, multimedia content, and assessments, to enhance the learning experience. Continuously update course content to reflect current trends and practical applications of the English language in various fields. B. Training Delivery 1. Instruction: Deliver interactive and engaging English language training sessions that cater to diverse learning styles and proficiency levels. Provide guidance and mentorship to students, helping them build confidence in their English language skills and encouraging their participation. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and collaboration. C. Assessment and Evaluation 1. Student Assessment: Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student progress and understanding of the English language and provide 1:1 support. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, helping them identify areas for improvement and growth. 2. Program Evaluation: Gather and analyze feedback from students and stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of the training programme. Make recommendations for programme improvements based on assessment results and emerging trends in language education. D. Updated Curriculum 1. Maintain and Update Curriculum: Maintain and regularly update the English curriculum to reflect the latest trends, industry standards, and technological advancements. Collaborate with technical trainers to ensure the curriculum supports integrated learning and aligns with digital and technological training. E. Effective Training Sessions 1. Deliver Interactive Sessions: Deliver interactive and engaging English language training sessions that cater to varying proficiency levels, using diverse teaching strategies and multimedia tools. 2. Graduate Proficiency: Ensure all beneficiaries graduate with a strong foundation in English, capable of applying their skills in academic, technical, and professional environments. F. Program Evaluation 1. Gather and Analyze Feedback: Gather and analyze feedback from beneficiaries and stakeholders, recommending improvements to enhance the program's impact. 2. Final Evaluation Report: Contribute to a final evaluation report at the end of the contract term, summarizing outcomes and achievements.

Qualifications/special skills

(A) Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus. Proficiency in using digital tools and resources for language instruction.

Desirable Qualifications Experience in a technical or vocational context is preferable. Conditions of Service Total remuneration: 9,252.00 USD – disbursed in monthly installments upon completion of assignments, in addition to indemnities of 8.33% Contract Duration: 06 Months from 01 March 2025 to 31 August 2025 (extendable according to performance and availability of funds) Duty station: The incumbent will be located in Lebanon Digital Hub.
