Morobe Development Foundation Inc. (MDF) is currently developing a comprehensive proposal for our "Empowering Youth Through Digital Skills" project. This initiative aims to establish 10 digital learning centers across rural communities in Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea, over the next two years.

The project will focus on: -Providing digital literacy training to 5,000 young people aged 15-25; -Offering advanced IT skills courses to 1,000 participants; -Creating a mentorship program connecting skilled professionals with aspiring young entrepreneurs; -Developing a mobile app to extend learning opportunities to remote areas.

This project also directly contributes to SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) in the PNG context by: -Addressing the high youth unemployment rate (currently at 2.8% for ages 15-24) by equipping young people with in-demand digital skills; -Promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in the growing tech sector of PNG; -Supporting the PNG government's Vision 2050, which emphasizes the importance of human capital development and technological advancement.

Extensively, the project will also contribute to: -SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing access to modern, relevant educational resources -SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by ensuring equal participation of women and girls in digital skills training -SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by focusing on rural and underserved communities

The support from Online Volunteers in proposal development will be crucial in securing funding for this impactful project, potentially transforming the lives of thousands of young people in Papua New Guinea and contributing to the country's sustainable development goals.

Specifically, Online Volunteers engaged under this assignment will be assigned with the following tasks.

Volunteer 1: Draft main narrative sections of proposals and bids Coordinate with other volunteers to ensure a cohesive proposal structure Edit and refine final proposal drafts Participate in strategy meetings with organization leadership Time commitment: 15 hours per week

Volunteer 2: Conduct in-depth research on funding opportunities and grant requirements Gather and analyze relevant data to support proposal claims Develop compelling data visualizations for proposals Assist in creating project logic models Time commitment: 12 hours per week

Volunteer 3: Develop detailed project budgets for proposals Create financial projections and cost-benefit analyses Ensure budget alignment with proposal narratives Collaborate with the organization's finance team for accurate financial reporting Time commitment: 10 hours per week

Volunteer 4: Draft executive summaries and cover letters for proposals Manage proposal submission timelines and checklists Coordinate communication between team members Prepare supporting documents and attachments for proposals Time commitment: 12 hours per week

Additionally, all Online Volunteers will also join the following activities to align updates and progress of the tasks: - Attend weekly virtual team meetings - Provide regular status updates on their assigned tasks - Collaborate closely with each other and organization staff - Adhere to proposal deadlines and quality standards
