MDF strengthens and supports community development projects and efforts. With this assignment it aims to support with a community-based project to ''Strengthening Integrated Sustainable Landscape Management in Papua New Guinea and another selected Pacific Island country. The Online Volunteers' support will allow us to come up with a concept idea for a conservation/climate change project that will benefit Papua New Guinea and the Pacific overall.
MDF is looking for three qualified Online Volunteers experienced in writing and editing proposals. The Online Volunteers will be required to analyze a call for proposal put out by a donor agency and review past projects ideas to come up with a concept idea for a conservation/climate change project to ultimately write and edit a concept note for remote sensing for land use classification to promote biodiversity and environment conservation, climate change and food security.
Candidates should be GIS graduate who have essential experience in remote sensing and land-use analysis and classification and must be good in proposal writing and editing. Candidates must be able to work with limited supervision to meet the deadline set by MDF.
