MDF is a leading NGO in PNG involved in many community project like water supply, hydro, GIS mapping to name a few and in this regard it is developing concepts and ideas that can be used to educate the community, students and the general public. This project will benefit students and other communities who are involved in water supply projects in Papua New Guinea. There is a need because water is a major problem in Papua New Guinea where many communities do not have access to good quality water in enough quantity and education is vital as this can help in supporting communities who do not have access to quality water in reasonable quantity.

The task involves designing a mini gravity feed water supply model which can be used by students to improve their learning. The task will also include designing the model using AutoCAD and provide list of materials and specification in centimeters or millimeters.

The selected online volunteers will work in a close collaboration with the contact person from the Foundation who will provide all information and requirement needed in this project.

The task will be split between two volunteers where one will be carrying designing task, while the second volunteer will write down the materials needed and document the work.

  • Masters have qualification and experience in Civil and Mechanical Engineering
  • Have designing skills using AutoCAD and can do material costing
  • PhD students in this field are encouraged to apply
