This task is part of a larger research initiative led by the Morobe Development Foundation Inc. (MDF), aimed at identifying psychological, social, and economic barriers to female empowerment in PNG. Thus, MDF is seeking the support of Online Volunteers in liaising the data collection that will directly contribute to actionable recommendations for policies and programs, supporting MDF’s mission and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5 (Gender Equality).

The Project Lead will provide all necessary tools, including the questionnaire and data documentation templates, and will oversee the analysis and management of the collected data remotely.

We are looking for a dedicated individual to assist in collecting data for a research project on the psychological foundations of female empowerment in Papua New Guinea (PNG). The target respondents are women aged 25 to 50, and data will be collected through collaboration with local leaders, offices, or educational institutions.

Under this assignment, the Online Volunteer (in collaboration with MDF Project Lead) will be in close contact through email with the local community leaders, local offices, or educational institutions interested in supporting women’s empowerment. The Online Volunteer will provide information on the purpose of the research and ask them to share the pre-designed questionnaire with women aged 25 to 50. The questionnaire will be completed digitally. During the assignment, Online Volunteer is expected to provide regular updates on progress and email the collected data to the Project Lead.

Responsibilities: 1. Survey Distribution: Use the provided online form to administer the questionnaire to participants, including women, community leaders, and stakeholders, in the local area. All processes will be done online using email. 2. Data Collection: Collect and record all responses accurately in the format provided. 3. Coordination: Maintain regular communication with the project lead via email to provide updates on progress and resolve any challenges during data collection.

Daily Logistics: 1. Online Volunteer is expected to dedicate 11-15 hours per week to data collection activities. 2. Updates will be shared with the project lead through email and periodic virtual check-ins.
