Contract

This is a Consultancy contract. More about Consultancy contracts.

UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.

Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.

And we never give up.

For every child, a connected world

ICTD’s Digital Centre of Excellence (DCOE) provides guidance for Technology for Development (T4D) practitioners in regional and country offices. Among other things, it maintains and promotes the Technology Playbook, as well as the ICT & Digital Innovation Operating Model (IDIOM). It also provides guidance on the scale-up/implementation of specific digital products such as RapidPro.

How can you make a difference?

DCOE aims to hire a Knowledge Management (KM) consultant, that can improve the distribution of T4D-related guidance, most importantly via UNICEF’s internal communication channels such as SharePoint. The scope of the consultancy also includes promotion activities for T4D related guidance, such as Yammer Posts, Webinars, potentially ICON story, etc.

Scope of Work: 1. SharePoint update for T4D related guidance Develop (content and design) a new Digital Programming knowledge hub on SharePoint, covering Tech. Playbook, IDIOM and other tools. Develop a cohesive narrative for how the tools support different aspects of digital programming. Solicit and incorporate feedback from regional and country offices. Focus on ease of discoverability and adoption, as well as alignment with global Enterprise Content Management (ECM) guidance, and other key KM resources in the organization on T4D/digital programming and innovation, such as PPPX and Innovation Resource Channel. Ensure alignment across various T4D related SharePoint across the organization.

2. Community management: Promotion of and engagement on updated SharePoint page Conduct outreach activities to promote the SharePoint site, e.g. through ICON, Yammer, ICTD Newsletters, Webinars, etc. Establish metrics to track site visits and use. Continuously improve the site based on user feedback. Develop content to promote the updated resources at the T4D TeamOne training in January 2025.

3. Support development of the ‘digital programming guidebook’ and other digital programming tools/guidance: Design and implement an intuitive SharePoint structure and content for the digital programming guidebook and other key tools, such as Djenga software maturity assessment.

4. Knowledge management governance for T4D: Establish processes for continuous maintenance and governance of the Digital Programming Knowledge Hub and associated knowledge management resources, in collaboration with the T4D teams in ROs.
