You have:
- Masters or advanced degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management, Social Sciences or related fields. Bachelor's degree with solid experience can be considered in lieu of Master's degree.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Recruitment and Sourcing, and quality assurance within UNICEF, UN or any international organization in the development/private sector.
- Proven experience in the utilization of digital media tools in sourcing.
- Technical experience in data management, knowledge and information management is highly desirable.
- Technical experience in content management and communications is considered an asset.
- Resourcefulness, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize large amounts of work while under pressure.
- Good analytical, facilitation, communication and presentation skills.
- Fluency in English. Knowledge of other UN language(s) is considered an asset.

Emergency Cone Sourcing Team aims to provide strategic solutions to sourcing needs in the shortest possible time. Supporting the needs of all clients (Fast-Track, Surge, EMOPS and Polio & Security) the team caters to both short-term and long-term recruitment needs through analysis of sourcing intelligence and providing customized solutions. Another major goal of the sourcing team is to support workforce planning and building a talent pipeline to meet the on-going demands through preparedness and planning.
The goals of the sourcing team are the following:
- Make talent sourcing for Fast-track positions more efficient
- Make Emergency related talent pools relevant and fit for purpose
- Implement DHR Emergency Cone’s outreach strategy
- Create and manage key partnerships to explore new talents source
How can you make a difference?
The Consultant as a member of the Sourcing Team, will be reporting to P4 HR Business Partner in Emergencies and HR Sourcing Lead. In support of the above tasks the consultant will be managing a portfolio of 6-7 functional areas for which they will be responsible building expert knowledge and complete the following tasks:
- Review sourcing requests within his/her portfolio to help attract ideal candidates. This includes analyzing job, reviewing country office profile, diversity targets and any other information shared by the case manager/CO Team
- Determine ideal candidate profile, determines Areas of Expertise in consultation with Case Manager/CO as needed to understand context, runs sourcing intelligence to develop sourcing strategy as needed
- Hunt for relevant talent and fine-tune sourcing strategies as needed to deliver the right quality and quantity of talent ensuring diverse candidate slates are delivered. Leverage digital media tools like job boards, niche sites and the internet to find talent. As needed, leverage locally developed community partners who have been identified as sources for relevant talent.
- Ensures timely and efficient screening of applications for minimum eligibility, considering qualifications, competencies, and post requirements.
- Maintain and update KPI, and relevant HR databases for effective reporting of HR activities.
- Prepare long/short-list of candidates based on established criteria and add candidate summaries and shares list with Hiring Unit, Case Manager/HRBP
- Responsible for developing/maintaining/mapping functional areas of expertise and creating selection criteria one-sheets
