  • The position requires regular local travel specifically in covered Barangays for monitoring and coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

The Construction Supervisor supports the design, implementation and quality monitoring of construction activities of the Luzon Field Office (LFO) covering 10 Area Programs (AP) through approved deliverables and timelines.

Major Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the AP and local partners, conducts an assessment survey, analysis, and/or environmental study of the identified construction projects in communities that may cover areas of WASH facilities, housing, school repair, buildings, among others.
  • In collaboration with the AP and local partners, prepares the plans/drawings, and cost estimates of approved projects. Where designs/drawings are already prepared by the partner LGUs, ensures that designs and costs are agreeable/feasible based on AP/project budgets and scope.
  • Ensures that all necessary approvals from government, project partners are secured and adhered prior to start of any construction implementation. In collaboration with the AP and LGU/partners, creates/produces a sound monitoring schedule agreeable to all concerned parties.
  • Conducts monitoring and supervision, as needed, of identified construction projects.
  • In collaboration with the AP and LGU partners, ensures that agreed timelines with the contractor are followed and standards are met. Any identified risks during project implementation should be reported to the OM and/or AP team and local partners which may include corruption, substandard work and materials for necessary action.
  • Reports to the Operations Manager, on a timely manner, any identified problems and bottlenecks for appropriate resolution. Recommends actions to the OM based on technical soundness/feasibility.
  • Participates in organizational activities: attends regular team devotion as part of staff spiritual nurturing; participates in meetings, such as team and organizational, as necessary.
  • Submits Performance Agreements and Staff Learning and Development Plan and Performance Reviews.
  • Supports emergency response, as necessary.
