You have:
- Diploma in peace and conflict studies, political science, sociology or an equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge and experience in violence prevention and conflict transformation.
- In-depth knowledge of dialogue processes and human rights advocacy.
- Practical experience in organizational consulting.
- Social and intercultural skills, ability to work in teams and independently with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Knowledge of participatory methods, gender approach, and awareness-raising strategies.
- Willingness to work in conflict contexts.
- Proficiency in French; proficiency in German and English is an advantage.
Job description
Le Service Civil de la Paix (CPS) de la GIZ au Niger et au Bénin promeut la résolution non-violente des conflits dans le domaine de l’utilisation des ressources naturelles renouvelables. Elle soutient les mesures visant à renforcer la cohésion sociale et la résilience face à la radicalisation et à l’extrémisme violent. Le projet CPS transfrontalier travaille en étroite collaboration avec des organisations partenaires locales et donne aux acteurs de la société civile et de l’État, en particulier aux administrations municipales locales, les moyens d’assurer et de façonner une utilisation inclusive des ressources naturelles. Le CPS soutient les acteurs locaux dans le traitement des conflits d’intérêts existants sur la base de processus de négociation non violents ou dans le cadre de plateformes de dialogue.
Your tasks
- Conseiller les organisations de la société civile sur la gouvernance pacifique, inclusive et durable des ressources naturelles dans les contextes ruraux du nord du Bénin
- Appui et conseil sur les plateformes de dialogue pour la résolution des conflits dans le domaine de l’utilisation partagée et de la gestion des ressources renouvelables au niveau municipal et villageois
- Soutenir les parties prenantes dans la formation continue sur les réglementations juridiques dans le domaine de l’utilisation et de la gestion des ressources naturelles et communiquer les aspects pertinents de la politique foncière rurale aux agriculteurs et aux éleveurs des municipalités d’accueil
- Appui technique aux structures institutionnelles chargées de la gestion des ressources naturelles au niveau local et régional
- Formation des acteurs locaux à la gestion non violente des conflits et aux méthodes de prévention des conflits, ainsi qu’à la promotion d’un reportage sensible aux conflits et non stigmatisant par les médias locaux sur les scénarios de conflit traités.
- Soutenir les organisations de la société civile dans leurs plaidoyers pour une gouvernance pacifique et respectueuse des droits de l’homme des ressources pastorales vis-à-vis des acteurs étatiques
- Accompagner l’organisation de la société civile partenaire du CPS dans la digitalisation progressive de sa pratique de gestion des conflits
- Coopération avec les autres conseillers CPS au Bénin et au Niger dans la planification stratégique et la mise en œuvre d’activités transfrontalières ainsi que dans la gestion des connaissances
Your profile
- Diplôme en études sur la paix et les conflits, en sciences politiques, en sociologie ou une qualification équivalente.
- Connaissances et expérience dans les domaines de la prévention de la violence et de la transformation des conflits, du renforcement de la cohésion sociale
- Connaissances approfondies dans le domaine du dialogue et du travail en faveur des droits de l’homme
- Expérience pratique dans le domaine du conseil en organisation
- Compétences sociales et interculturelles, capacité à travailler en équipe, talent organisationnel ainsi que méthodes de travail indépendantes et sens élevé des responsabilités
- Connaissance des méthodes participatives, de l'approche genre et des stratégies de sensibilisation
- Volonté de travailler dans des contextes conflictuels
- Maîtrise du français ; La maîtrise de l'allemand et de l'anglais est un atout
