Conduct research and map job sites and associations for UN Volunteers

You have:

  • Experience in research, analysis and documentation is essential.
  • Comprehension of local language(s) is an advantage.
  • Background in HR or talent acquisition is highly regarded.
  • Availability for 1-5 hours per week for 2 weeks is required.

The expected result of the online research and mapping is a consolidation of key and reliable job sites and professional associations, where UNV can post UN Volunteer vacancies in countries of Asia Pacific. The target countries include Maldives, Mongolia. The final product of the research and mapping should present a list of job sites, professional associations, social media for each target country, with an overview of each entity/job site; relevance and advantages to post UN Volunteer vacancies; contact info; any potential risk analysis, etc. Upon selection, the online volunteer will receive further guidance on the completion of this assignment. The online volunteer will have two weeks to compile the findings. Upon completion, the online volunteer will receive a Certificate of Appreciation for his/her contributions.

    UNV works under a dual mandate – to mobilize volunteers for the United Nations System and to support to deliver on the 2030 Agenda through the engagement of UN-Volunteers and the integration of volunteerism. UNV Regional Office for Asia Pacific deploys UN Volunteers to around 30 countries and territories every year. In 2020, 1,435 National and International UN Volunteers served with 30 UN Entities in the region. As the trends show, the numbers of National UN Volunteers in most countries have been increasing. UNV puts more efforts in outreach and sourcing for National UN Volunteer candidates accordingly.

People who have background in HR, talent acquisition will be also regarded highly for this online volunteering assignment.
