You have:
- At least 1 year of experience in community mobilization or related field.
- Experience working with education programs.
- Ability to engage with community stakeholders effectively.
- Knowledge of gender issues, specifically related to female education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel frequently to field locations.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing community programs.
Job Description
- Conduct surveys and assessments in the communities and provide feedback and suggestions for the development of the education program. - Work with community members in identifying non-formal education needs, assuring the community cooperation with the program and their participation in the School Shuras/ Reintegration Committees. - Create positive relations with community through regular meetings and informal discussion for identifying and addressing education needs and issues. He/She will spend 95% of his working time in the field. - Create plans for establishing School Shuras with community members and elders to monitor and support the education activities in the community. - Ensure the registration and integration of students and teachers in the MoE formal system. - Under guidance of Community Mobilizer support campaigns and trainings, for raising awareness about gender, especially for improvement of female education and their further participation in education. - Mobilizes and motivates communities to actively participate in CBE related activities for the promotion of quality education.
Qualifications
For IRC- Afghanistan Internal Candidates:
(“ The IRC encourages employees to remain in a position for at least one year and be in good standing before applying for another position within the organization. if an employee is interested in a vacant position within the organization, he/she must inform his/her supervisor in advance before applying for a new position”)
(However, 1 year is a must to complete but to encourage IRCA employees somehow we are flexible who work in the current IRC position for at least 6 months or above and are given chance to compete for an opportunity in the organization)
