Duties and Responsibilities

As an established global knowledge brokerage, the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP) is a global community of policy, business, and finance professionals and organisations committed to collaboratively generating, managing, and sharing knowledge on the transition to an inclusive green and circular economy. The GGKP is led by United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and the World Bank. The mission of GGKP is to empower government decision makers, companies and financial institutions with evidence-based knowledge that can best support them to contribute effectively to the green and circular economy transition. GGKP provides its best practice knowledge brokerage services through its three core platforms, the Green Policy Platform, the Green Industry Platform, and the Green Finance Platform, as well as its online interactive community space, the Green Forum. In addition to its three platforms and the Green Forum, GGKP also provides targeted knowledge management, communication and stakeholder engagement services for global projects funded under the Global Environment Facility (GEF). The core focuses of GGKP as a knowledge brokerage are: * Using world-class knowledge management, communication and application systems and tools to provide practitioners, policymakers, and other experts with opportunities to access, share, and apply green and circular economy policy analysis, guidance, information, and data. * Identifying major knowledge gaps in green and circular economy theory and practice and addressing these gaps by promoting collaboration and coordinated research. GGKP has received funding from the EU to support the enhancement of circular economy knowledge generation, management and sharing globally over a period of three years (EU Funded Action “Accelerating the global transition to a green and circular economy”). To achieve this objective GGKP aims to ensure a clear alignment between those stakeholders that, 1) produce knowledge, 2) provide enabling policy environment and financial supports, and 3) those that are the end-users of the same. A core aspect of this project is therefore to enhance knowledge and experience exchange between relevant stakeholders, an important element of which is supporting effective peer-to-peer interaction. The specific tasks related to this assignment will be in coordination with the GGKP communications team, and will include: •Update and implement the community engagement strategy and associated annual action plan, with a focus on growing the user base, and reaching out to new partners. •Coordinate the ongoing development and expansion of the Green Forum website and Green Forum app, including identification and development of new features and functionalities, and manage related web-developer activities. •Oversight of content creation and posting on the Green Forum to ensure a safe and engaging environment for community members. •Carry out regular analysis of the Green Forum’s outreach and performance through comprehensive metrics and analytics, covering both website and app. •Provide expert guidance in the identification, design and implementation of new knowledge sharing processes and mechanisms for GGKP, in particular those which capitalize on the Green Forum. •Coordinate the ongoing development of the Green Forum’s Project Collaboration Space and manage the engagement with and support to its member projects. •Identify and analysis new potential functions that can be incorporated into the Green Forum to improve practical support to projects as well as engagement between community members. •Coordinate within GGKP and with GGKP partners active contributions to the Green Forum community, with the objective to establish quality expert information on key topics. •Develop guidance and model community engagement strategies for community of practice leaders, where possible in collaboration with partners. •Supporting the drafting and editing of GGKP reporting products. •Supporting other GGKP tasks as necessary.
