To get the job done, we are structured into two work streams: People and Change.

Background Information - Job-specific

There are two work packages, for which we are recruiting multiple consultants, falling into the following areas of responsibilities:

Qualified coaches who would be able to support the delivery of coaching in the areas around professional and personal development throughout the organization.

Workshop facilitation for specific internal events e.g. performance management, supervisory capabilities, etc. as needed.

The consultant will be working closely with the People and Change Group and individuals within UNOPS globally.

We offer a retainer contract which means that the contract will be honored based on a daily rate, and for the dates agreed upon prior to an assignment

The focus will be to offer coaching as stand-alone coaching sessions or group coaching mainly as part of our learning programs. In the learning programs the group coaching will have a focus on guiding and training the participants in using coaching techniques in their supervisory function.

The Consultant will be a critical part of strengthening and expanding our coaching culture in UNOPS. The Coach will build trusting, powerful, engaging and influential relationships with individuals and groups.

The Coach will provide a compilation of development themes gathered from coaching sessions and suggests new ways for meeting those needs.

Deliverables

To provide a structured approach for coaching for UNOPS personnel

Provide coaching for personnel in the organization, either as stand-alone coaching sessions or as part of our learning programs. These sessions are likely to be delivered virtually e.g. via google meet and normally a duration of 1.5 hours.

The Coach should be able to deliver coaching services in various time zones as we are a global organization

Co-design, development and/or facilitating of workshops in the area of professional development

Education/Experience/Language requirements

Experience- Minimum 5 years of professional experience working with individual and/or group coaching is required. Some of the experience must be with international and diverse clients.

  • The Consultant should be able to deliver coaching services in various time zones as we are a global organization.

  • Experience working in an international environment and preferable within the UN or NGO organizations is an asset.

  • The Coach should be able to offer both individual coaching and group coaching.

  • Competent in the following key skills: Coaching, facilitation, supporting and guiding change, influencing and leading by example.

  • Experience demonstrating traits in trustworthiness, active listening, and direct communication.

Education

  • Advanced university degree (Masters or equivalent) in a relevant discipline is required.

  • A combination of a Bachelor's degree with two additional years of work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

  • The coaches must have graduated from an International Coach Federation (ICF) accredited school or similar international coaching accreditation.

**Language Requirements

  • Fluency and proficiency in English is required. Fluency in French and/or Spanish is a distinct advantage.**
