MDF is carrying out a project supported by SPC in collaboration with the EU to map the magrove conservation effort in this village and needs baseline information before commencing the project. The project is inline with MDF vission to support and sustian community development initiatives in Papua New Guinea, working in partnership with donors, and the community to meet the millenium development goals.

MDF requires the service of two online volunteers to do literature review and compile a 3 page report on a coastal motuan village called ''Barakau'' which is located a few kilometers from the city of Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. The task is straightforward and all information can be attained either through internet, the library or any source applicable. The task simply involves researching, writing and editing with primary focues on baseine data like the size of the village, the population, the economic activities, water and sanitation pratices to name a few.

MDF requires the service of two volunteers who wanted to be part of this initiative to produce the desired outcome. Volunteers who are studying in the areas of environment and conservation are encouraged to apply. Volunteers will be certfied accordingly after the completion of this task.
