Human Resources Support in GDC is responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to the organization, including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and policy development. The HR Support will also serve as a liaison between volunteers and management to promote a positive and productive work environment.

We are seeking five volunteers, each responsible for a unique task within our organization, ensuring that the volunteer roles are clearly defined and task-based.

  1. Talent Acquisition: A volunteer is needed to develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent. This includes conducting 2 interviews per week and participating in the selection process for new volunteers. The clear deliverable will be a recruitment plan and weekly summaries of interviews conducted.

  2. Learning & Development (L&D): A volunteer is required to provide guidance to managers and volunteers on HR policies and procedures. This includes the writing of an HR handbook and the development of 2 training courses. The specific deliverable will be the completed HR handbook and two structured training programs.

  3. Onboarding: A volunteer will oversee the onboarding process for new volunteers, including orientation and training. The distinct task will include designing an orientation program and creating training materials. The deliverable will be a comprehensive onboarding guide.

  4. Volunteer Relations : This volunteer will manage volunteer relations issues, including conducting investigations and resolving conflicts. The clear task will be managing any interpersonal issues among volunteers and staff, and the deliverable will be a monthly report detailing resolutions and ongoing matters.

  5. Performance Management: A volunteer will be responsible for implementing and managing performance management processes. This includes goal setting, performance appraisals, and creating employee development plans, along with maintaining accurate and up-to-date HR records and documentation. The specific deliverable will be a quarterly performance management report and an updated record-keeping system.
