Position Overview

The responsibilities of the Accounting Cluster Lead are to ensure the sector’s accounting activities and information are correctly organized and detailed in a manner that’s required to meet critical business needs. S/he should take the lead role in the communication of knowledge to others in the unit to help improve overall job performance

Main Tasks

  • Lead and guide the cluster to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Performs monthly and year-end closing activities, including accounting entries quality checks, account reconciliation, preparation of adjustments, and posting of journals of the assigned delegation / region
  • Supervise and coordinate the cluster's tasks, ensuring sufficient coverage, effective cross-training, and operational efficiency while addressing staff inquiries and providing necessary support.
  • Ensure adherence to established processes and procedures within the cluster.
  • Coordinate and escalate issues impacting the cluster, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to enhance team skills and capabilities.
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among cluster members.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, promptly addressing their requests.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Represent the cluster in cross-functional meetings and projects.
  • Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.

Selection Requirements

  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Experience in general and financial accounting
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Peoplesoft, JD Edwards)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a team
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
