You have:
- Native or fluent proficiency in Portuguese (preferably with familiarity with Angolan Portuguese).

- Familiarity with AI, ML, Python programming, or GIS terminology (preferred but not mandatory).

UNDP ICPSD is committed to expanding access to high-quality, practical training for technology-skilled volunteers and learners worldwide, we aim to make technical knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Python Programming, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Machine Learning (ML) accessible to Portuguese-speaking communities in Angola and Lusophone Africa.
To achieve this, we are preparing localized versions of our high-impact training materials, ensuring that language is not a barrier to learning and participation in cutting-edge digital skills development. Your contribution as an online volunteer will help bridge this knowledge gap and empower learners to apply these skills to address real-world challenges, including disaster resilience, environmental monitoring, and sustainable development.
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented five online volunteer translators to support the translation of technical training materials from English to Portuguese.
These materials consist of 40 PowerPoint presentations (approximately 40 slides each) covering AI, ML, Python, and GIS.
Key Responsibilities:
Translate content from English to Portuguese while preserving technical accuracy, clarity, and terminology consistency.
Adapt content to ensure it is culturally relevant and accessible for audiences in Angola and Lusophone Africa.
Maintain the original structure, formatting, and style of the PowerPoint slides.
Review and proofread translations for quality assurance before submission.
Native or fluent proficiency in Portuguese (preferably with familiarity with Angolan Portuguese).
