The HR Technology and Analytics Branch - HRMOI is responsible for on-going support to critical HR operational processes through the appropriate provision and application of information, processes and enabling technologies. It is also responsible for the developing of the HR Division Technology strategy and roadmap that will support integrated talent management processes, enable full visibility into our global workforce by deploying a technology solution that integrates people processes, data and intelligence from corporate and satellite systems and databases, and will provide workforce analytics and tools to support evidence-based decision making across people-related processes (in particular workforce planning, recruitment, reassignment and deployment to emergencies).

The Branch consists of three teams: (1) HR Technology Deployment; (2) HR Systems Administration and Support; (3) HR Reporting & Analytics.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

Under the general supervision and guidance of the Team Leader of the HR Analytics Work-stream, the Workday Reporting & Analytics Consultant will:

  1. Act as technology advisor on the various Workday Reporting and Analytics options
  2. Build, test and manipulate standard and custom reports in Workday
  3. Develop complex Workday Reports and Dashboards using Report Writer, Discovery Board, Prism analytics and potentially Workday Planning
  4. Support the HR Reporting team in optimizing and further developing interfaces between different data sources
  5. Share Workday knowledge and expertise to the other team members, Document and maintain the knowledge base around Workday based reporting
  6. Support HCM project in preparation of reports, presentations and management decision making documents
  7. Write reports that extract Workday data and manipulate data in other formats for various needs
  8. Perform complex analysis on analysis on staffing and cross functional data, using robust statistical methodology
  9. Query data from various HR information systems.
  10. Build BIRT reports
  11. Any other duties as required.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: University undergraduate or graduate with experience and training courses in one or more of the following disciplines: statistics and/or information technology or any other related fields.

Experience: More than 5 years of experience as Workday Reporting and Analytics consultant

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst
  • Proven experience reporting on complex HR data (Core and Talent) and time dependent data
  • Experience with workforce analytics is an asset.
  • Knowledge & Skills: Advanced knowledge in HCM Workday – Report writer, Prism, Discovery Board. etc
  • Knowledge of Workday Planning/Adaptive Insights is an asset
  • Knowledge of BIRT
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as SAP BI/BO, visualization tools (e.g. Tableau) an asset.
  • Experience with statistical packages such as R (SAS, SPSS) is an asset
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Excel;
  • Analytical mind and business acumen.
  • Ability to transform statistical information into concise reports.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work and deliver results within a highly complex organizational environment (i.e. with diverse team, matrix structure, highly evolving operational context and staff working hardship locations).
  • An understanding of working with different cultures.

Languages: Fluency in oral and written English with an intermediate knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) or Portuguese (one of WFP’s working languages).
