Duties and Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Human Resources Development Section (HRD)/TrainForTrade/KDB/DTL and in the framework of UNCTAD’s TrainForTrade Distance-Learning activities, the incumbent will perform the following tasks in the TrainForTrade’s (TFT) distance learning platform, TFT registration platform, TFT WordPress, PPS platform. These platforms host and follow-up on several distance learning courses (including forums, tests, opinion questionnaires, etc.-), generate certificates, register participants, produce statistic for all the activities, and produce Result Based Management (RBM) indicators. The updating of these platforms is important to improve performance, stability and security. The consultant will:

- Undertake desk research to identify best updates and tools for TFT’s Platforms. - Update the operating system of the server “Linux Debian” with the latest patches including all security protection measures; -Check and conduct tests in accordance with United Nations IT security protocol; - Update TrainForTrade’s moodle platform to the latest version; - Update of Awstats, to monitor the server performance; - Update TrainForTrade’s WordPress Web-platform to the latest version; - Update MariaDB database to the latest version; - Update the backup server to ensure the daily and monthly backups of the server and Databases.

Qualifications/special skills Skills: Knowledge of TrainForTrade’s server architecture is an asset. Academic Qualifications: Advanced university degree in computer science or related degree is required. Experience: The consultant will have at least 5 years of professional experience in information technology management with proven working experience in Linux, PHP and MYSQL. Language: Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required.
