Assist with volunteer program management and administration tasks

You have:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree or recent graduate
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Organized, reliable, and flexible
  • Having a personal vehicle is helpful on occasion

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist with Volunteer Orientation and ESL Tutor Training to include contacting potential volunteers, sending out reminders, and recording attendance. - Assist in maintaining accurate, up-to-date data across pertinent databases. - Prospecting for new grant opportunities and providing administrative support for the grant application process, including conducting research to identify potential grant opportunities and compiling necessary documentation for grant submissions. - Assist with client-tutor introductions including picking up clients and driving them to the office for the meeting, taking notes during the meeting, and updating tutor match spreadsheet accordingly. - Assist with outreach for donor drives and volunteer appreciation events as well as collection of volunteer survey feedback. - Process donations of goods and assist with the management of contributions in-kind including confirming orders for accuracy, logging inventory, organizing the stock room, and assisting with valuations for donations. - Record hours and submit completed timesheet for each month via the IRC’s online Volunteer Dashboard.

Qualifications - Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree or recent graduate - Excellent verbal communication skills - Organized, reliable, and flexible - While a personal vehicle is not required, it would be helpful on occasion.

This position is unpaid and reports to the Volunteer Program Assistant.
