The Performance Management & Career Development Center of Expertise (PMCD CoE) evolved from the HR Reform launched in 2016 to spearhead UNICEF’s performance management strategy and culture. The PMCD team and Division of Human Resources at large has ongoing digital media requirements to effectively promote and disseminate its outreach efforts to UNICEF’s global staffing population. To this end, digital media expertise is solicited from an external consultant to provide best practice guidance and technical aptitude in this area.

How can you make a difference?

The overall objective of this role is to provide support in visual/graphical design related to the roll out of new and revised PMCD material and communication. This will include conceptualisation, design and production of various communication materials. This is not envisaged to be a full-time service, and will be based on the demand for services requested.

The incumbent will undertake the following tasks:

Support consistency in visual/graphical design in DHR (Learning, communication, performance management and career development) resources (e.g. through the design of guidelines, publications or promotional materials).

Conceptualize, design and produce communication materials including but not limited to the design of brochures, posters, infographics, training materials, presentations, templates, manuals, guides or job aids.

Other miscellaneous visual/graphical design needs, as required.

EDUCATION

A Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related qualifications.

WORK EXPERIENCE

At least seven years of relevant working experience in graphic design

LANGUAGES

Fluency in English.

SKILLS

Strong analytical skills, coupled with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts in a clear and concise manner bother in written and visual form

Ability to work effectively on multiple assignments simultaneously and adapt to changing demands and circumstances

Ability to collaborate effectively across a diverse audience while developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships

Knowledge of computer systems and applications e.g. MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to analyse data to inform decision making

Strong writing, editorial and communication skills

Timely delivery of content
