When Nathan (who inspired the Nathan Ebanks Foundation) was born, he was very sick. At 9 months old, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. The news was devastating to his family. Feeling lost, out of depth and alone, his mother Christine Staple-Ebanks struggled to seek for answers. This search has led her to become one of the leading voices of advocacy for children with disabilities and their families in Jamaica. Today, what began as a 'tragedy' has become a movement that is transforming the island-state of Jamaica. In response to the impact of COVID-19 on schooling for children with disabilities not just in Jamaica, but in our global communities, we have partnered with key resource partners to present this special parenting series. The series will be delivered through live and recorded videos. The video editor will be provided with the content recorded via Zoom and would be responsible to create and add an introduction and closing montage to each video, as well as adding subtitles, royalty-free background music, and other effects. The video editor will be acknowledged in the closing credit and will receive a UNV/NEF certificate at the end of the task.
