UNDP Vietnam is seeking a videographer/video editor to support its video production of a series of interviews, photo-to-video about the legal system, policy papers and events under the supervision and guidance of the UNDP Vietnam Planning team.

The Online Volunteer will help the UNDP Vietnam Country Office in strengthening the knowledge of the legal system, and the citizen understanding of their rights and their obligations through a series of simple explanation videos from UNDP.

The Online Volunteer will be engaged for 7 video production (3 days for each video), for up to 20 days within the period of the assignment.

  • The productions include a series of interviews/photo to video/presentation videos for UNDP’s Youtube, social media, news features for broadcasters, and video messages.
  • The video products will highlight UNDP’s work on poverty reduction, women’s empowerment, crisis response, protecting the environment, fore sighting, and other policy areas.
  • The Online Volunteer will work with the UNDP Team in Vietnam. UNDP Vietnam will provide the scripts, video footage, and related pictures from the experts in the Country Offices to facilitate the video editor's work.

Results/Expected Output:
- Produce 7 videos for UNDP explaining the lay of the land in sectors such as People with Disability, Energy Efficiency, Anti-Corruption, Climate Change strategy, and so on. Example an be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1H4hYsTTlnI - The 7 videos will be used in UNDP Youtube channel, social media networks, and some related project promotion.

Functional: - Have Video editing skills (or Canva/PowerPoint or other professional editing software i.e., Avid, Premiere, etc.); - Have knowledge of different video formats and video file conversions; - Have knowledge of converting video files from multiple formats; - Have online video publishing and file transfer skills;

Core: - Demonstrates integrity by modeling the UN's values and ethical standards. - Promotes the vision, mission, and strategic goals of UNDP - Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality, and age sensitivity and adaptability. - Initiative and independence. - Work in teams. - A positive, constructive attitude. - Excellent communication (spoken and written) skills, including the ability to convey complex information management concepts and recommendations to staff at all levels, both orally and in writing, in a clear, concise style that non-information management practitioners can readily understand; and - Ability to deliver high-quality results on time.

Experience: - Enrolling a Bachelor's degree in media communications, Journalism, Social Sciences, Humanities, Public Administration, Economics, Political Science, or any other related field. - Experience in working on video creating and editing. - Fluent in English and Vietnamese, preferably both languages at the native level — the deliverables must be presented in both languages according to the audience. - Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and work with diverse people; Participate effectively in the team-based, information-sharing environment, collaborating and cooperating with others. - A proven track record of experience volunteering or working with NGO/CSO is an advantage. - Excellent ability to use essential computer software (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) is required. Basic web image, layout, design, and video editing ability will be advantageous. - Tactful and responsible, able to keep the information confidential. - Able to analyze and think strategically.
