Overview

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a management field.
  • At least 3 years of professional work experience in Human Resources or relevant programmes.
  • Experience working in UN or other international development organization is an asset.

Contract

This is a UNV National Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV National Specialist contracts.

UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories to save children's lives, to defend their rights, and to help them fulfil their potential, from early childhood through adolescence.

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of the HR Specialist or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UNV-Human Resources Associate will:

• Support the implementation of the Covid vaccination drive in the office: administer the registration, follow up with staff and Vaccination focal points, keep records and generate vaccination data whenever required; • Communicate and coordinate the implementation of duty of care activities for staff and dependents; • Arrange isolation kit, liaise with UN Clinic, check on staff and dependents when they get infected with Covid; • Provide regular updates on covid cases among ROSA personnel to the UN Clinic; monitor Covid cases and vaccination rate in country offices in the region; • Assist in the implementation of SAR Mentorship Programme, Stretch & Swap Programme, and Job Shadowing Programme; • Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

• Bachelor’s degree in a management • At least 3 years of professional work experience at the national and/or international level in Human Resources, or other relevant programmes; experience in development sector is an asset, as is experience working in the UN or other international development organization;

As this is a national UN Volunteer assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials. National UN Volunteers are part of the malicious insurance plan.
