Overview

Conduct access control and ensure security in the premises.

You have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in private or institutional security, preferably with international organizations or diplomatic missions is required.
  • Knowledge of security and emergency procedures is required.
  • Familiarity with CCTV, radio communication, and electronic screening equipment is required.
  • Basic First Aid and Fire Safety training is desirable.
  • Fluency in Arabic is required; working knowledge of English or French is desirable.

Result of Service

• Daily shift logs submitted at the end of each shift. • Incident reports filed immediately following any breach, threat, or emergency. • Monthly reports on access control, patrols, and operational status of security equipment. • Active participation in quarterly emergency drills (evacuation/fire). • Immediate escalation of potential threats or technical failures to the FSCO or the Mission Security Officer.

Duties and Responsibilities

The unarmed security guard will: • Conduct access control operations by screening staff and visitors, including personal items and mail deliveries. metal detectors, X-ray scanners, and ID verification tools. Vehicles are to be searched and inspected using under carriage mirrors. • Maintain a physical presence at key entry and exit points and deny unauthorized access. • Monitor CCTV systems and promptly report suspicious behavior or incidents to the supervisor. • Undertake foot patrols of the premises to detect and deter security or safety breaches, including fire and water risks. • Maintain records of patrols, incidents, visitor logs, and key logs. • Support emergency response, including evacuation procedures and first aid assistance when trained. • Open/close the facility in accordance with duty rosters and check that equipment and lights are secured after hours. • Provide directions and assistance to staff and visitors as needed.

Qualifications/special skills
