You have:

The UN Women Regional Office for West and Central Africa is looking to collaborate with five (05) online volunteers to help translating web news articles on gender equality issues and women's empowerment policies, inter-alia. The translation will be asked from English to French. The final documents will be used by the organization to support communication and advocacy efforts related to the mandate of UN Women in West and Central Africa, as well as to increase the efforts of the organization and its partners in the region, but also beneficiaries portraits.

    The translation of the concerned articles aims to increase advocacy in favor of the mandate of UN Women in order to inform partners and the general public about the activities and initiatives taken and/or supported by UN Women, especially in the specific context of COVID19. This mission seeks to increase, as a priority, the integration of gender issues in news from the region.

  • Volunteers: 5 needed

  • 1-5 hours per week / 2 weeks

    Ideally, candidates would have English as their mother tongue, while speaking French completely fluently. Knowledge of technical terms related to gender and women's empowerment issues will be considered an asset. A translation of a paragraph will be requested upstream as part of the selection process.
