Translation and interpretation
In line with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (to deliver quality education), the task at hand relates to ensuring that the education of Palestinian children who would usually attend UNRWA schools remains uninterrupted. In response to school closures triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic, when over 300,000 Palestine refugee children in Gaza and West Bank had to learn remotely teachers created material to help guide students through host state curricula. This material, known as learning cards, has been rigorously reviewed to ensure that it adheres to UN values. However, before the material appears on an open access online platform we would like to add another layer of review. In order for that to be done well and quickly the learning cards should be translated. In sum, the job is to translate more than 500 pages of learning cards from Arabic to English. The cards will usually cover grades 6-10.
