Contract

This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.

In 2023, the Swiss Embassy and the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) in Tunisia launched a new initiative aimed at providing inclusive and impactful volunteering opportunities within the United Nations system in Tunisia between 2024 and 2026. This initiative will enable 185 young Tunisians the opportunity to gain professional experience through inclusive and impactful volunteering assignments within the United Nations Agencies, Funds, and Programs in Tunisia.

The above mentioned presentation will be used to animate info sessions about the initiative and about volunteering onsite with the United Nations in several governorates of Tunisia, as part of UNV Maghreb's talent outreach plan.

We are seeking 2 Online Volunteers to support us by translating a presentation on how to volunteer with the United Nations from French to Arabic. To this end the Online Volunteers are asked: - To translate the document, consisting of 11 slides into Arabic - Ensure the translation is concise and fits the audience (the audience being aspiring volunteers and prospects)

The selected Online Volunteers will be provided with the document in the original language and will receive guidance on the target audience as well as other guidance as needed.

The Online Volunteers will have the opportunity to build connections with the UNV Maghreb team and learn about the ways in which the translated product contributes to talent outreach efforts in Tunisia.

Candidates should be native in Arabic and fluent in French. Familiarity with technical terms related to volunteerism will be considered an advantage. Previous translation experience is considered an asset.
