Overview

Translate website content about peacebuilding efforts in Colombia

You have:

  • Proficiency in Spanish and English needed for translation work.
  • Proofreading skills are necessary to ensure translation accuracy.
  • Basic knowledge of Word and PowerPoint will be helpful in project execution.
  • Availability for 6-10 hours per week over 2 weeks is required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team of volunteers is essential.

Website containing learning activities, artworks and stories about peacebuilding, resilience and reconciliation after the Colombian conflict needs to be translated from Spanish to English. The website has nine sections, five of them contain five short stories about peacebuilding (500 words aprox. 25 stories total) and four have minimum text (calendar, photo gallery). The workplan is for two volunteers to work on four of the larger sections, and a third volunteer to take on the other five sections (one with stories and four with minimum text).

    The website showcases the efforts made by various communities in Colombia to build peace, reconciliation and resilience after the 54-year-long conflict in Colombia. This website showcases their stories of life and transformation. The volunteer's contributions will allow English-speaking visitors to learn about the Colombian conflict.
